Sydney designer Johanna Johnson slammed after empire was placed into liquidation

A popular Australian designer whose empire has been pushed into liquidation after owing more than $1 million to the Tax Office has been slammed by furious brides who fear they may lose their wedding gowns.

Supreme Court Justice Paul Brereton gave sydney-based designer Johanna Johnson time to convince the court she has a plan in place to pay off her debts, but it appears she fell short as her business fell into liquidation on Wednesday.

According to court-appointed liquidator Tim Cook, Ms Johnson’s assets will now be sold, The ABC reported.

Her business Facebook page has been inundated with comments from brides-to-be questioning the future of their wedding dresses, with some claiming Ms Johnson has ‘not even bothered to send any kind of email’.
