An award-winning granny flat construction company has collapsed – leaving behind a string of scathing one-star online reviews and customers stranded.
Rescon Builders Pty Ltd, known as Rescon Granny Flats, went into liquidation on Friday.
The company, which built granny flats around sydney/index.html” id=”mol-8069a620-3638-11ee-897a-2b92777c00f0″>Sydney, the Illawarra, Central Coast and Newcastle areas has worked on more than 500 projects since it started in 2012.
In 2017, the company won a Master Builders Association Excellence in Housing Award, with director Timothy Cocaro saying at the time he ‘couldn’t be more proud’.
‘Australian families will have no greater investment or asset than their home and that is why we treat every project as if it was our home,’ Mr Cocaro said.
The company is now in the hands of Christopher Darin of liquidation firm Worrells.
