Fine-dining restaurant meal delivery service Providoor has announced its sudden collapse as the business enters liquidation.
Co-founded by celebrity chef Shane Delia, Providoor offered customers the chance to enjoy meal kits from fine-dining restaurants at home — an idea that proved to be a hit during COVID-19 lockdowns.

In a notice on Friday, Delia confirmed “with a heavy heart” that Providoor was shutting down.
“Later today, Providoor will be formally placed into liquidation,” he said.
“But, effective immediately, we are no longer accepting orders.”
It comes just weeks after popular grocery delivery service MilkRun announced it was shutting down and making its 400-strong workforce redundant.
Delia, who is best known for his Maha restaurant, launched the service with well-known Melbourne eateries such as Supernormal and Rockpool in 2020 before it expanded to sydney and later Brisbane at the start of 2022.
“I created Providoor during lockdown, when the hospitality world was in disarray and we needed to find a way to survive,” he said.
